Group discussions and interviews decide admissions, scholarships and jobs. The skills are learnable – here is how.
In a group discussion
Listen before you speak, stay on topic, and support your points with facts. Be assertive but never rude or dominating.
Before an interview
Research the institution, prepare answers for common questions, dress neatly and arrive early.
During the interview
Maintain eye contact, speak clearly, and show a positive, willing-to-learn attitude. It is okay to admit what you do not know.
Practise, practise, practise
Mock GDs and interviews build the confidence that makes all the difference on the day.
